Join us for this free Winner’s Concert at the Zimmerli Art Museum (71 Hamilton St, New Brunswick, NJ), likewise celebrating the American Semiquincentennial. This event concludes with a generous reception, giving us good opportunity to meet the artists and each other. We are thrilled to present Claire and Barbie, so we invite you to come and meet this exceptional duo!
Isabel Merat, soprano, and pianist Anna Sunmin Park (finalists in the FAS Fellows auditions) offered a beautiful and interesting concert of American song at Zimmerli Art Museum on March 1, 2026. An appreciative audience was thrilled by their imaginative performances.
Special Fall Event, Nov 16, 2025
FAS presented Metropolitan Opera tenor, Paul Appleby, and our own Board member, pianist Martin Néron, in a benefit concert at the Smith House of Princeton Landing, on Sunday afternoon, November 16, 2025.
Paul and Martin performed an inspiring, entertaining, and enriching concert of American music for voice and piano. Thankfully, an overflowing crowd received this outstanding performance with enthusiastic applause.
We are grateful to Paul, Martin, and all in attendance for the gifts of presence and artistry.
Special thanks to Sandy Stern for photographs.
EASY BREEZY SUNDAY 2025
The annual FAS Labor Day event was a huge success, on August 31, 2025. Kerrigan Bigelow and Amber Scherer, our gifted 2025 FAS Fellows, were joined by other dynamic artists, Greg Feldmann, Evan Katsefes, Alexandra Henderson, Laura Soto-Bayomi, and FAS President Alta Malberg, with FAS Board member, distinguished pianist Martin Néron. If you were not with us for this year’s “back-yard concert and picnic,” be sure to plan on Sunday of Labor Day weekend 2026. We would love to see you then! Meanwhile, enjoy these pics from the recent event.
Kerrigan Bigelow and Amber Scherer presented their final concert as 2025 FAS Fellows on September 6th at the Juilliard School.
The duo presented works about women who have been written away by history, in the words of Ophelia, Bilitis, and Camille Claudel. This program was also a preview of their production with City Lyric Opera - The Past Cannot Be Cured - a dramatic retelling of history’s forgotten women.
